Scottish slamming quintet PARTY CANNON are back with their debut album “Bong Hit Hospitalisation” which streets July 7 through Gore House Productions. Following the same footsteps as their well-received E.P. “Partied in Half”, these party-slammers bestow the next level of extreme comedic brutality; “widdly riffs, mega slams, terrible samples and biscuit tin snare”. Bladecather‘s Obverse EP has a primarily orthodox, almost primitive Death Metal sound/structure and hints of technicality. It’s a fucking mammoth, well written chunk of dark and twisted death, by a guy who can play the hell out of his instruments. Every riff is blazing fast and incredibly addictive, so much so you’ll surely run through this EP three times in a row without difficulty.
After the demise of the decade long musical excursion known as Njiqahdda, main songwriter E. had a burning desire to create the heaviest, most crushing music that he could. In that desire, Bladecatcher was born. Created in late 2014 (and recorded in 2015), the debut “Obverse” showcases uncompromising, unapologetic and utterly crushing death metal. Unchallenged cosmic Slam/Death from Colorado.

“Prologue To The Apocalypse” works as a complete experience, each song enjoyable with not a torrid, riff-drenched second wasted. Textured riff work is omnipresent; big, meaty chunks and bloody shards are present at every treacherous turn. BLOODSCRIBE may not knock the legends from their lofty pedestals, but the quartet can certainly hold its own. This is a hungry new band out to blacken hearts and minds with their dark, swirling, catchy, sinister Death Metal, and with “Prologue To The Apocalypse” they’re off to a helluva start.
